Not My Week.
Judging by this past week 2025 is not looking like it is my year. We just cannot get any moisture to speak of. We see signs of spring, but without rain/snow. It will be a while before we see green pastures.
Small Frys (youngest yak) got me in trouble with the neighbor again. At least it was a different neighbor this time. She walked through the fence and was standing on his property when the neighbor woke. I mean got out of bed. I don't think the neighbor is woke. He has never indicated as such.
Small Frys is getting bigger and soon will not be able to walk through the fences. Until that time if the fence does not hold water it will not hold Small Frys. I guess I could solve the problem now and just turn Small frys into yak veal, but that seems kind of drastic.
I had a doctor’s appointment this past week. It was too bad that I went to the appointment exactly twenty-four hours after the day and time it was scheduled. It didn’t stop there, speaking with the receptionist about what could have went wrong, it got a little ugly. I wa trying to explain I would have never agreed to the time of the appointment. I have a reoccurring appointment at that time. The young receptionist started making faces at me. No (construction language) faces.
Me: Are you making faces at me? I see what you are doing.
Rec: Would you like to speak with my manager?
By now that is exactly what I wanted. “Go get your manager”. She wouldn’t/didn’t. It didn’t matter, I was in town for a couple hours for no reason. I made another appointment and treated my self to the salad bar at the hospital cafeteria.
I have mentioned in previous stories how windy it has been thi winter/spring. Elaine said smething to me this past week she has never said to me in almost fifty years of wedded bliss. “Oh my god, the wind is blowing the siding off the house.” No husband ever want to hear those words. I hoped somehow she was exaggerating, or simply wrong, No such luck; a ten foot by 30 foot section of siding had blown off the house. More siding was contemplating leaving but I secured it before any more could fly off.
Elaine finished reading the story and mentioned my story didn’t make her laugh. It wasn’t that kind of week. When the house is resided I’ll laugh,
On a happier note. I did get a new computer. Now I need to get all my stuff off the old computer and on to the new. Give me a couple of months
God Bless, Love ya, make sure your insurance is paid.
